Project Scope
Lightweight Construction & Fire Treatments
• Design of speed panel walls and similar lightweight systems.
• Integration of fire-rated treatments at intersections, slab deflection zones, and movement joints.
• Consideration of wind, air tightness/pressurisation, smoke, and fire rating requirements.
Structural Certification & Framing
• Provide structural certification for grid systems and bracing prior to design finalisation.
• Design and documentation of:
• Fibre cement, plasterboard, and tiled ceilings.
• Ceiling sub-framing with wind and seismic considerations.
• Wall sub-framing including noggins, steel/timber supports, and blocking for coordination with other trades.
Feature Linings & Engineering Development
• Framing for feature linings as per architectural intent.
• All engineering and design development related to subcontracted elements.
Acoustic & Fire Compliance
• Ensure materials and geometries meet acoustic performance requirements.
• Provide fire-rated construction systems with certified test results.
• Design in accordance with the Fire Engineering Report (FER) and compartmentation requirements.
Fixings & Testing
• Design and test fixings, including on-site testing with new and existing soffits.
• Allow for additional structural/acoustic/fire-rated support where existing walls/ceilings are retained.
Glazing & Ceiling Support
• Internal glazing thicknesses, supports, and fixings to meet acoustic and structural requirements.
• Ceiling supports (e.g., patresses) designed to carry fixture loads (excluding soffit-supported items).
